Thoroughbred race track Churchill Downs in Louisville Kentucky is restarting plans to build a $300 million hotel and gaming facility. The project was put on pause in 2020 due to the COVID pandemic, but will re-start in the first quarter beginning with $15 million for infrastructure work. The project will include a 156 guestroom hotel, 27,000 square foot ballroom, meeting space, observation deck, 900 machine gaming floor, sports bar, VIP lounge and multiple dining venues.
