The town of Orange Beach Alabama approved a new hotel for the west end of Beach Road during the Feb. 22 council session. The new Springhill Suites with have a Perdido Beach Boulevard address and be accessed through Ruby Lane between Doc’s Steak and Seafood on the east and the Ruby Slipper on the west. A total of 120 rooms are proposed and the building will be seven stories. Plans are for the pool to front beach road and the developers will build a sidewalk across the front of the property with an access sidewalk to the pool. Art Favre of Wharf Retail Properties LLC is developing the property along with Performance Contractors, Cohen Investments Inc & OKS Investments LLD.
